With their new album BROTHER FIRETRIBE bring us that amazing melodic rock they know best. On The 666 we interviewed Pekka Heino to talk about "Diamond In The Fire Pit" check it out!!

- What can you tell us about “Diamond In The Firepit”?
It´s a strong and solid Brother Firetribe album. That was our goal to begin with and we really feel we reached it in a brilliant fashion. All the elements that make Brother Firetribe are still very much intact and we like it that way.
- How is the people's reaction to this new album?
They really seem to like it which is heart warming and pleasing. You naturally start thinking about people´s reactions after the long hiatus, you don´t want to disappoint the ones who´ve followed the band and who´ve patiently waited for us to come up with new stuff.
- Most of you comes from bands with different music styles, Nightwish, Leverage, and with Brother Firetribe people can hear something different, how do you fell about it and what do you think about people reaction? I think you are really great doing this.
Thanks for saying that! Because of the connections we have people naturally put us into a certain category and that´s fine. Being a part of the "metal scene" is ok but we do tend to stick out like a sore thumb there which is only a positive thing, if you ask me.
We recorded the album in 4 different studios all over Finland and each step in making the album took its own time, mainly because we wanted to make sure we come back with a strong result. We were really precise with very step, from writing the songs to the final mastering of the album.

It´s mostly about the beautiful and difficult relationship between a man and a woman. Everything that comes with it, the highs and lows, ups and downs. This time the lyrics are more from the broken hearted point of view but it´s cool as the music is still very uplifting. It makes a nice contrast.
- What's your favorite song of the album? In my case I can mention a lot of them, Edge of Forever, For Better Or Worse and so on...
My personal favorite is Hanging By A Thread. I like the mood of that song, it reminds of the classic era of AOR and melodic rock. The synth bass just kills!
- What do you feel playing with Brother Firetribe, its like a group of friends and we can feel it on the album
That´s how it´s always been from the day one and I´m glad to hear it can be heard in the music. It´s all based on good chemistry and the fact that we really like hanging out together. That´s the basis for everything we do.
We´re planning to tour as much as possible during the rest of the year, that´s our main goal right now and there are people working on it to make it happen. At this point we´re ready to play anywhere as long as there´s a demand for us.
- I always like to ask about the music the artist is listening nowadays. Could you share with us three albums that you’ve been spinning lately?
I´ve been listening to a lot of John Waite lately. I love him to bits. And I just spinned an album by Robbie Dupree from the late 70´s. Very laid back stuff.
- Something you would like to say to the fans over the world?
Thanks for all the patience, we really appreciate it, hope the album is worth all the wait and hope to see you soon!
Thanks to Brother Firetribe and Spinefarm
